Поднял на сервере фтп месяц назад, все прекрасно пахало, седня перестало,
запускаю proftpd  - пишет
- No certificate files found!
Поисковики ничего внятного не дают, единственное нашел что нужно

      сертификат для ssl он не видит, закоментируй в конфиге, и все

А где комментировать не понял, по крайней мере в /etc/proftpd.conf не нашел
никакого упоминания о сертификатах...
Ось Linux Debian 3.1, proftpd_1.2.4+1.2.5rc1-5woody2_i386.deb

Или ткните меня где в этом конфиге нуна закомментировать

сколько пользуюсь proftpd, не разу не было ничего подобного. может сам пакет proftpd_1.2.4+1.2.5rc1-5woody2_i386.deb как то определенным образом настроен, т.к. в конфиге нет ничего подобного. попробуй вот так

LDAPUseTLS off

а вообще скачал бы себе последнюю версию с оффсайта и собрал как тебе нужно.
еще тут можно посмотреть forums.proftpd.org

не помогло...:-( Да и не могло помочь LDAPом я не пользуюсь

так я установливаю apt-getом, он же последнюю версию выкачивает вроде...

Нащел ответ... Вдруг кому еще пригодится...

сгенеряй сертификат:
openssl req -new -x509 -days 365 -nodes -out ftpd-rsa.pem \
-keyout ftpd-rsa-key.pem
файл ftpd-rsa.pem положи в /etc/ssl/certs/
ftpd-rsa-key.pem - в /etc/ssl/private/
