Извините, забыл как отключить эти подсказки при логине во FreeBSD...
Может кто помнит......

Это-то понятно - там у меня написано Welcome to FreeBSD! - то что мне надо, а после вываливаются штуки типа :
You can permanently set environment variables for your shell by putting them
in a startup file for the shell. The name of the startup file varies
depending on the shell - csh and tcsh uses .login, bash, sh, ksh and zsh use
.profile. When using bash, sh, ksh or zsh, don't forget to export the
variable.

посмотри в домашнем каталоге файл .login или .profile в зависимости от используемого Shell'a - там должна быть прописана команда, запускающаяся при входе - смотри выше - там все написано

либо смотри в /etc/rc* что выводится после motd, либо в shell'овских
старап файлах
