NAME
explorer - local configuration information (defaults)
DESCRIPTION
The etc/default/explorer configuration file is created or
updated at the time of installation. It contains customer,
user, and system information, as shown in the following
example:

/etc/default/explorer is the old defaults file and uses an
incompatible format with the new defaults file. The old
file is read during install to obtain default values and is
removed at the end of installation.
VARIABLES
EXP_EMAIL_SPLIT
The EXP_EMAIL_SPLIT variable is used to split explorer
output that is too large for mail servers. Valid
values are between 1049576 (1MB) and 9437184 (9MB).
The default is 4194304 (4MB).
EXP_PATH
The EXP_PATH variable is used to inform explorer where
to look for support binaries like gzip and mpack.
EXP_SUBJECT
The EXP_SUBJECT variable is used to change the subject
line on explorer output mail. Variable substitution is
available for the following variables:
%C Substitute the Customer Name
%E Substitute the Explorer ID
%F Substitute the Explorer Filename
%H Substitute the Host ID
%I Substitute the Contract ID
EXP_GEO
The EXP_GEO viarable is used to select the appropriate
geography for this system. The GEOs are:
APAC
Asia Pacific
EMEA
Europe, Middle East, Africa
AMERICAS
North, Central and South America
EXP_SERIAL_<HOSTID>
Serial numbers can be stored for many hostids in one
defaults file.
EXP_CONTRACT_ID
This is the customer's Spectrum Contract ID
EXP_CRON_WHICH
Explorer collects crontab files based on the
EXP_CRON_WHICH variable. This should be a comma
seperated list of crontab files.
EXP_WHICH
The EXP_WHICH variable is used to control what modules
explorer should run. See explorer(1M) discussion on -w
switch for more information.
