NAME
detect - detects hardware on a system
SYNOPSIS
detect
[OPTION]...
DESCRIPTION
detect
is only a small frontent for
libdetect(3).
When started, detect tries to determine your hardware,
and creates a file named
report.txt
in the current directory.
OPTIONS
--help
Print help information and exit.
--debug
Show debug informations.
--serial-modem
Detect serial modem(s) and exit.
--version
Show version info and exit.
--verbose
Create a more user readable report file.

detect.
/usr/share/detect/isa.lst
Lookup table for ISA PnP ID <-> device and driver mapping.
/usr/share/detect/pci.lst
Lookup table for PCI ID <-> device and driver mapping.
/usr/share/detect/pcmcia.lst
Lookup table for PCMCIA ID <-> device and driver mapping.
/usr/share/detect/usb.lst
Lookup table for USB ID <-> device and driver mapping.
BUGS
The serial probe may disturb any currently in-use devices, and return
odd results if used on machines acting as serial consoles.
